Old National is seeking a Philanthropy Service Officer.  The Philanthropy Services Officer position within Old National Wealth is a senior level role designed for an individual with deep experience providing philanthropy services in a wealth management setting.  This individual will be expected to build and run our internal Philanthropy Services Group and be part of the client service team for institutional and ultra-high net-worth accounts.  Responsibilities for this role will include working with institutional clients on establishing sound board governance, developing gifting programs, running capital campaigns, and facilitating philanthropic strategic planning.  This position will service the entire Old National Wealth Management Footprint.


Key Accountabilities

Provide Philanthropic Advice and Services:

  • Provide philanthropic advice and services for a broad array of foundation and public charity clients at various stages in the lifecycle of their philanthropy. Advice will focus primarily on strategic development, compliance and infrastructure support, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Work with non-profit organizations in the development of investment policy statements or other governance policies, as well as fundraising strategies including capital campaigns and planned giving.
  • Create and maintain a database or use existing technology to capture client and prospect philanthropic giving vehicles and focus-area interests as well as fundraising needs.
  • Create and develop content for philanthropy focused events, blog posts, and white papers.

Business Development:

  • Research and review non-profit organizations to help generate a robust prospect pipeline.
  • Actively solicit clients for philanthropy services and meet or exceed new business development goals and/or revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive fee schedule for stand-alone philanthropic services such as capital campaigns, retreats, and enhanced board governance.
  • Maintain active contact with known referral sources and prospective clients.
  • Contribute to the development of responses to requests-for-proposals (RFPs) and prospect presentations.
  • Create opportunities with existing clients to provide additional services and manage additional investment assets as payment for ongoing philanthropy services.
  • Foster productive relationships with business partners in Consumer and Commercial.
  • Work closely with Private Bankers to develop to expand wallet share with existing wealth relationships.
  • Build a strong network by participating in community affairs, activities, and organizations to maintain visibility and enhance the business development function.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of non-profit sector or philanthropic operations experience in a wealth management firm, family office, or RIA
  • Must possess strong relationship building skills including verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of investment markets, products, and services
  • Must possess excellent sales and closing skills
  • CFRE, CAP, CFP, MBA professional designation(s) preferred
  • Ability to build and develop a robust sales pipeline
