We are seeking a skilled Senior FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.  The ideal candidate will serve as the principal finance business partner for several divisions and play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial decision-making through detailed analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and decision support.  This position requires a strong analytical mindset and proven communication skills.  This role is highly visible and provides daily opportunities to work with executive leaders and collaborate on cross functional teams.  The pace is fast and challenging but also rewarding with frequent opportunities to “make a difference”. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis of assigned divisions to support business decision-making.
    • Evaluate financial performance against key benchmarks and performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide regular insight to executive leaders regarding trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting:
    • Lead the development and maintenance of financial forecasts and budgets for all assigned divisions.
    • Collaborate with executive and department leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with business partners to build business cases for investments and strategic opportunities.
    • Collaborate with HR partners to align budgets/forecasts with staffing models.
    • Collaborate with IT, Process Improvement & Procurement partners to execute technology roadmaps and process improvement projects.
    • Integrate key projects into financial reporting cadence, forecasts, and budgets. 
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Present clear, concise, and insightful financial reports and updates to executive leaders and teams.  Participate in business partner team meetings and updates.
    • Create ad-hoc reports as needed to support strategic initiatives.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Build strong relationships with executive leaders and teams to enhance financial understanding and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, Process Improvement & Procurement partners to support assigned divisions and teams.

 

Other Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the monthly accounting financial close and ensure accurate financial reporting for assigned divisions.
    • Identify and recommend efficiency opportunities.
    • Stay up to date on current financial regulations and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and/or financial reporting.
  • Effective communication and story-telling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with cross functional teams and leaders.   
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Longview, Empyrean or Axiom). 
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations.
