We are currently looking to fill the role of Community Lending Market Executive.  This position will report to the Chief Strategic Business Partnership Officer.   The Community Lending Market Executive will enhance ONB’s increased participation in sustainable growth initiatives, perform highly advanced (senior-level) lending strategies, and focus on significant community development projects benefiting the assigned market(s).

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement specific strategies for lending and investment to low- and moderate-income and underserved communities through direct commercial or small business lending, and by supporting key RM’s lending within ONB’s underwriting requirements.
  • Interact with centers of influence, municipalities, developers, and non-profits to assess partnership opportunities and align interests to maximize stable, sustaining community assets.
  • Partner with ONB’s Community Development & Outreach team to identify, develop and maintain relationships with community partners to identify and serve community investment and lending needs.
  • Support Supplier Diversity strategies and programs to help increase minority business participation.
  • Broaden community and economic development partnerships throughout assigned market(s) that promote strong brand awareness and generate revenue opportunities.
  • Engage with executive and market leadership to establish and execute the appropriate activities, tactics and strategies to identify and pursue new business development opportunities and expand existing client relationships.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant commercial banking experience or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to orchestrate organizational resources by identifying key players, communicating relevant information, and building collaborative client-focused relationships.
  • Very high level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a proven track record of successful sales performance with strong business development skills.
  • Ability to interact with executive management, board members, clients, and team members at all levels.

 

Key Measures of Success/Key Deliverables:

  • Successful execution of the Special Purpose Small Business Program in assigned areas that will deploy access to capital to address needs for underserved businesses and communities.
  • Increased lending and investment activity to underserved communities through commercial and small business channels.
  • Secure incremental Business Development opportunities in working with all lines of business.
  • Actively engage in ONB Community Development & Outreach Team efforts in the market.
  • Increase ONB/CBRE Supplier Diversity vendor pool.
  • Community Board participation.
