Old National Bank is seeking a Wealth Risk Officer to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, laws, policies and procedures, including Personal Trust, Retirement Plan Services, Trust Operations, and Corporate Trust business lines.  Develop and perform First Line of defense testing and monitoring to ensure key controls are working effectively, and identify and remediate exceptions.   Work on high priority risk related projects and tasks.  Coordinate internal and external audits and examinations.  Support Wealth Management investment and fiduciary team members with following all laws, regulations & fiduciary best practices.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead OCC Examinations and Internal Audits, including coordination of tasks and deliverables amongst risk and business line team members
  • Assess business line risks and controls through internal and external Risk Assessment processes
  • Develop appropriate risk based testing and monitoring to ensure key controls are operating effectively
  • Perform various periodic monitoring and testing, and work with business line leaders to address any issues identified
  • Approve and Monitor Risk/Compliance Requests through Footprints/Get Support cases
  • Work collaboratively with Corporate Risk Management and second line of defense Compliance teams
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on various Wealth Management committees
  • Develop and update applicable policies and procedures, and communicate changes to impacted team members
  • Partner with Corporate Risk and Wealth Risk Manager to implement Heightened Expectations requirements
  • Generate and analyze reports for audits, exams, projects, management requests, testing, etc.
  • Answer questions from team members regarding business line risk and compliance requirements 

Depending on the individuals skills and qualifications this position will be hired in at a Wealth Risk Officer or Senior Wealth Risk Officer

Risk Officer will be required to five+ years and Senior role will be required to a minimum of 8 years experience.  Both levels will require experience in risk, compliance, investment management, trust administration, accounting, finance or retail banking.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred
  • Awareness or familiarity with auditing/examination techniques
  • Awareness or familiarity with trust/wealth management laws and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills
