The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and the capabilities of our data science team. This role works directly on predictive modeling projects, ensuring that data-driven insights are effectively translated into actionable business strategies.
This role helps drive critical enterprise initiatives, tying together specialized business line needs with the greater data science capabilities. The Business Analyst will be the primary owner of business requirement documentation for the data science team. Working with a team of data scientists and technical partners, the Business Analyst will be a thought leader for the team’s internal processes and a key spokesperson and team representative to internal stakeholders. An ideal candidate will naturally view the world with curiosity first and a relentless pursuit of the ultimate why. This role demands a simultaneous in-flow and out-flow mentality: seeking business input and clarity, providing clear updates and guidance to move both business and data initiatives forward.
The Business Analyst will also play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and report certification requirements. This individual will work closely with business units to inventory existing reports, identify current-state processes, and help design solutions to meet regulatory expectations as the bank centralizes data and reporting onto a modern data platform.
