We are looking for an experienced and versatile technical business analyst to improve our information technology systems. This Technical Business Analyst will be a member of the Commercial Banking IT team, focusing on Treasury Management and Payments. The role will document and map business requirements to appropriate technical solutions across Old National Bank Commercial business line functions, as well as deliver solutions to meet an array of internal and customer facing systems.  This individual will be responsible for documenting existing business needs and developing new and enhanced business processes to ensure IT solutions support and align with the Commercial business initiatives. Offices based in either Chicago near Rosemont or Minneapolis/St Paul area.

 

 Key Accountabilities

  • Act as IT project lead to ensure all business requirements are captured for design, testing and implementation of a variety of solutions across corporate systems needs and capabilities.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction, deepen relationships, and effectively manage client expectations.
  • Work with business sponsors to determine business requirements necessary to increase efficiency and functionality of software/applications.
  • Design current and future state processes and assist with connecting all necessary teams together to push project from start to finish
  • Design workflows, processes and solutions to solve business problems.
  • Ensure test strategies/plans involve appropriate integration and process components.
  • Develop test cases, system integration testing and validate test results during testing.
  • Build a strong cross functional understanding of both the company’s products and business operations.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical solutions in a manner where business line can easily understand.
  • Exercise independent judgement and take the lead role on projects.

Additional Business Analyst Competencies:

  • Analysis: evaluate complex data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and work with team to make recommendations
  • Communication: written and verbal communications should be clear, concise and geared to the audience
  • Project management: plan, schedule, and track multiple and sometimes competing initiatives and be able to prioritize
  • Technical: solid grasp of SDLC, platform capabilities, best practices for development, and the translation between requirements and design

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Extensive experience in technical business analysis in Commercial Banking or Financial Services industry is required.
  • Skills with Payment (ACH, Swift, FedFunds, Real Time Payments) and Treasury Management solutions are preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.
