We are currently seeking a  Team Member Relations Leader that will serve as a partner and coach to managers and the Human Resources talent team. This role serves as a go-to-person for escalated issues, concerns, and complaints, and works to manage, improve, and protect team member and people leader relationships. The incumbent provides high-level HR guidance and serves as a strategic advisor on team member relations, compliance, and ADA/FMLA. This position also requires monitoring and interpretation of state laws to ensure Old National stays within compliance.  This role may have other responsibilities and projects assigned.

 

Key Accountabilities

Team Member Relations Leadership

  • Provide leadership around the organization’s team member relations strategy
  • Serve as the escalation point for team member relations matters
  • Be a trusted partner in providing consultation and guidance on team member relation issues for Talent Partners/Talent Managers.
  • Lead regular scheduled connection points with Talent Partners/Talent Managers
  • Conduct investigations as required
  • Consult/Lead team member relations matters when needed
  • Review involuntary separation recommendations
  • May be involved with developing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Analyze data to identify trends and develop and recommend strategies for improvement 

Lead Compliance Efforts

  • Manage and monitor HR Compliance Dashboard
  • Manage the problem resolution process including ensuring compliance with the complaint process, procedures, case management, and reporting
  • Monitor State laws and regulations within ONB footprint to ensure company practices remain current and compliant
  • Review handbook policies and HR procedures providing recommendations for updates and changes
  • Review compliance training regularly providing recommendations for updates and changes
  • Develop, implement, and monitor AAP programs and procedures through collaboration with AAP vendor, HR, Legal, and other stakeholders as needed while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EEO and anti-discrimination laws and regulations
  • Work closely with outside counsel to ensure ONB’s VISA process is compliant with federal requirements and review VISA documentation to ensure it is current and up to date; engage other areas of HR team as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area or equivalent work experience; HRCI/SHRM HR Certification desirable
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources in the areas such as talent development, team member relations, organizational development with demonstrated success partnering with team members and leadership across an organization
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, federal and state including but not limited to; Wage and Hour, Worker’s Compensation, FMLA/ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in banking/financial services preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work in footprint and in office to contribute to effective communication and collaboration

  • Contribute to the Talent team’s success through achievement of shared and individual objectives and deliverables.
  • Successfully support the Talent Strategy Team on broad spectrum of team member relations issues and projects
  • Partner with Talent Strategy team to ensure treatment of team members is respectful and consistent with our Mission, Vision, Values, and Leadership Principles
  • Contribute to the Talent Strategy team by achieving goals and delivering results
  • Participate in projects/activities to encourage professional growth and development
