Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst that will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of regulatory and SEC filings, participation in and improvement of the related processes and controls, and coordination with other functional areas within accounting and areas outside of Finance. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting weekly and quarterly reporting processes.

 

The Financial Reporting team is part of the broader Corporate Controller organization under the jurisdiction of the Chief Accounting Officer at Old National Bancorp (ONB). The Controllership group provides accounting compliance and oversight for all transactions, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment, adherence to internal controls and accurate financial statement reporting and presentation.

 

Salary Range

           The salary range for this position is $44,700 - $84,500 per year.Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

 

Key Accountabilities

External reporting activities:

  • Work with other members of the Financial Reporting team to prepare regulatory reports including the quarterly Call Report, FR Y-9C, and FR Y-9LP as well as weekly reports, among others.
  • Research regulatory guidance and propose solutions and/or appropriate treatment.
  • Support the preparation of SEC forms including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and others as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly earnings release including maintenance of data in Workiva/Wdesk. 

Other duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain reports in the Company’s reporting systems including Workiva/Wdesk, Longview, Excel, Signature, and other systems.
  • Produce and update written procedures for assigned responsibilities.
  • Construct and maintain organized and efficient work files.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly internal analytical reports for use by executive management including the tear sheet and trends report.
  • Meet delivery timelines and ensure financial information is reported completely and accurately.
  • Utilize technology to create process efficiencies and to optimize systems and resources.
  • Participate in various bank projects as requested.
  • Work with other members of the Financial Reporting team to ensure cross-training of duties.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required or commensurate years of experience in a financial banking institution.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting or analysis with banking industry preferred.
  • Comfort with financial and reporting systems (e.g. Workiva/Wdesk, Hyperion, SAP, Workday, Business Objects, Axiom, Longview, etc.) knowledge a plus.
  • Effective time and resource management skills, flexibility and resourcefulness to collaborate with others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Microsoft Word, Power BI and Access/Database.
