Salary Range

           The salary range for this position is $44,700 - $84,500 per year.  Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

We are currently seeking a Construction Risk Specialist that monitors the construction phase of assigned commercial construction loans.  Work closely with Commercial Bankers, Commercial Loan Support, Borrowers, title companies, attorney’s, contractors, and others to ensure that all information required to make a construction loan draw is provided and ensures that any issues have been mitigated prior to approving draws.

Construction Management

• Oversee a portfolio of construction loans that are in various stages of construction. Prioritize each of the projects and ensure that loan draw requests are executed timely while making sure that any and all risks have been mitigated.
•  Work closely with Commercial Bankers and Commercial Loan Support Staff on newly approved commercial construction loans to ensure that all required construction documentation is received, reviewed, and approved prior to closing.
•  Facilitate the funding of draws on Commercial Construction loans, ensuring that each draw follows loan policy and regulatory requirements. The draws must be in alignment with the budget and expected percent of completion.  The Construction Risk Specialist must think critically to work through and solve problems as they arise. 

 Communication and Support

• Serve as the expert to provide guidance to Bankers and Support Staff during the loan origination process on policy, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
•  Proactively works with Commercial Relationship Managers and Commercial Support staff to find solutions to when construction issues arise.
•  Communicates directly with clients, title companies, attorneys, contractors, etc. when construction issues arise. Communication may also occur during the origination phase where outside parties need to understand our process or have questions.

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Commercial real estate lending process skills.
• You must be highly organized, have strong detail oriented, and be very thorough.
• You need to have proven skills to think critically with limited oversight.
• Skilled with Excel is required,and understanding of Excel formulas is very helpful
• Ability to handle multiple and complex projects in various stages of construction.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
