Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $29.75/Hr.. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.
We are seeking a Commercial Deposit Specialist that is responsible for inputting, processing and fulfilling deposit-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Handles end-to-end processing for account opening and maintenance for all commercial accounts while engaging other internal business partners as needed
Key Accountabilities
Deposit Fulfillment Process:
- Serve as primary partner for all commercial deposit accounts – account opening, maintenance etc.
- Coordinate with operations functions to establish quality standards for delivery of deposit(s) accounts
- Manage the workflow/process to achieve an efficient and productive result
- Verify accuracy and validity of business account titling on all new and revised business accounts, banking resolutions and verify receipt of all legal documentation required
- Verify accuracy and validity of all new and revised deposit accounts; verify receipt of all legal documentation required
- Create and maintain new and existing clients in core system
- Prepare complete packages for new/revised deposit accounts and work with internal clients to execute documents
- Open new/revised accounts within the core system according to all banking regulations
- Understand and adhere to all Bank, LOB, Compliance and Marketing standards, policies, and procedures especially deposit related

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate degree in administrative services/business or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of administrative, customer service and/or banking experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of banking regulations and laws related to deposit account opening
- Focus on providing excellent service to all internal clients
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize meeting deadlines, highly productive and efficient multi-tasker.
- Appropriate attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to adapt and manage changing priorities and deadlines.

- Meet Service Level Expectations outlined within Deposit Fulfillment guidelines
- High level of service to internal clients.

Commercial Deposit Specialist roles may vary – this position may be filled at a different level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Factors may include but are not limited to:
- Number of years of progressive or multi-faceted support experience within Commercial, Wealth or Community verticals at a Bank (or other prior financial institution or related industry)
- Depth and breadth in successful experience with providing high quality customer service by responding to telephone and email inquiries, other requests and resolving problems for both internal bank partners and/or external Commercial and/or Wealth or Community Bank clients
- Excels and demonstrates effective time management skills to maximize the number of clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Possesses thorough working knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures of ONB banking products and services (or other prior financial institution or related industry)
- Utilizes and relies on demonstrated knowledge and/or proficiency products, services, rates, terms, fees, applicable regulations and systems and procedures
- Effectively ensures that each ONB client or internal partner has appropriate support focused on gaining customer longevity which is demonstrated by consistently going above and beyond to keep our clients at the center
- Confidence and proven success in making decisions/resolving (complex or unique) situations as matters may be escalated
- Aptitude or ability to assist in the training (and/or mentoring, coaching, or development) of new or existing team members within and outside of Client Services Commercial
