Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Wealth Management Middle Office Team Lead that is responsible for managing and leading a team of Wealth Middle Office Specialists in various support roles on the Middle Office Team. The individual in this role acts as an intermediary between the front office (Client advisors, Trust Officers, Wealth Support Team) and the Middle Office team providing guidance and problem resolution. This role will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of various staff on the Middle Office Team. The Team Lead must excel in managing through change, adapting to evolving business needs and client requirements. The Team Lead can also perform all the duties of a Middle Office Specialist.

 

Key Accountabilities

Leadership and Management: 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, and act as a first line of escalation for the team.
  • Perform management responsibilities including staffing, performance management, coaching, and recruitment.
  • Drive team performance to ensure a high level of service to clients and internal partners.
  • Promote a culture of positivity, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Lead and support various projects as needed.
  • Ensure that all functions are supported, cross training is in place, and processes are documented.
  • Manage team effectively by providing feedback and coaching to direct reports thru weekly one-on-ones,

Daily Oversight:

  • Assist as needed in completion of department duties, ensuring that key controls are followed, documenting and updating procedures, and ensuring that all support requests are completed by the team on a timely basis.
  • Monitor quality and quantity of support provided by the team and ensure high risk items are completed timely and accurately.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all functions supported in Middle Office.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, supporting team members in resolving complex account issues and client requests.

Qualifications and Educations Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience, preferably supervisory experience in operations or middle office.
  • Strong knowledge of trust and wealth management processes, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications; experience with FIS TrustDesk a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client service and team collaboration.
