Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Investor Specialist III is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, and remittance of loan activity and payments to and from investors. This role primarily supports loan participations and syndicated loans where Old National Bank serves as the lead bank, while also servicing purchased loan participations from various financial institutions.

This position is responsible for ensuring principal and interest activity is accurately reflected within the core system through daily loan reconciliations, investor remittance processing, and the timely application of payments. Additional responsibilities include balancing internal DDA accounts, boarding and maintaining loan records, completing booking verifications, posting payments, processing rate changes, and preparing SBA reporting.

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $18.25/hr. - $29.75/hr.. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Productivity

  • Daily balancing of investor remittances, including submitting payments to investor banks and requesting funds for loan disbursements.
  • Process daily notices to participant banks regarding loan payment activity.
  • Input new, renewal, and change-in-term requests for all commercial loan products (e.g., term loans, revolving lines of credit, guidance lines, and forbearance agreements).
  • Post incoming wires, checks, and ACH payments to the servicing system.
  • Complete loan booking verifications.
  • Input and review daily rate changes within the core system.

Monitoring

  • Ensure all sold and purchased participation loans are reconciled to confirm principal and interest activity is accurately reflected between Old National Bank and participant institutions.
  • Research and analyze payment histories, supporting documentation, and accrual calculations to resolve reconciling items and customer inquiries.
  • Complete audit verifications for customer and participant bank requests.
  • Process manual rate changes requested by lead banks.
  • Monitor and reconcile internal DDA accounts with activity processed on loans.

 

Participant Relationships

  • Foster strong participant relationships by serving as a key contact for servicing inquiries, discrepancies, and operational matters.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Manager team to support syndicated and participated loan transactions where the Bank serves as the lead lender.
  • Prepare and distribute daily remittances, funding notices, rate change notifications, and other participant reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent; associate’s degree in business or higher or related field is preferred
  • Commercial loan experience or loan operations experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve client and participant issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret loan documents, rates, and payment schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Measures of Success/Key Deliverables:

  • Consistently meets daily productivity expectations and departmental service level agreements.
  • Maintains accurate and timely processing of investor remittances, reconciliations, and loan servicing activities.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal partners, participant institutions, and banking center associates.
  • Demonstrates continued growth in commercial loan servicing, participation administration, and investor accounting knowledge.
