We are seeking a SOX Manager that will be responsible for managing the Company’s SOX plan initiatives in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, including the review, testing, analysis, evaluation, and conclusions concerning the design and effectiveness of the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting. This position will also be responsible for the reporting of all findings, deficiencies, and remediation plans identified through process monitoring, internal reviews, or external examinations. The SOX Manager is expected to be hands-on in the execution of SOX activities to ensure all business risks are anticipated, identified, recognized, and appropriately managed. This position will also conduct audits or reviews as assigned within Internal Audit.  The SOX Manager interacts with mid- to senior-level management to discuss audit findings and recommendations intended to improve business practices. 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the Sarbanes-Oxley process and controls documentation
  • Serve as a key resource for internal associates
  • Conduct Audits or reviews

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field
  • CPA certificate preferred
  • Public Accounting Experience preferred
  • Banking experience is a plus
  • 7-10 years of Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC, OCC, and other regulatory background
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statements and footnotes
  • Strong management, organizational, analytical, and computer skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
